Electrical Excellence is a family-owned and operated business that has proudly served the Sunshine Coast community since 2004. Founded by Richard Merry, the company was built on a commitment to high-quality workmanship, integrity, and strong community values. Over the years, we’ve developed lasting relationships with local businesses and groups, supporting the very community that supports us.

As our name suggests, we are dedicated to delivering excellence in every aspect of our electrical services—from small residential jobs to large-scale commercial projects.

In 2013, Richard’s partner Tammy joined the team to manage administration and help drive the business forward. The couple married in 2014 and continue to work side by side today. Together, they have two sons and a shared passion for creating a reliable, personable, and professional service experience.

From 2013 to 2021, Electrical Excellence expanded to multiple vans on the road and successfully completed a wide range of commercial projects. With decades of experience behind us, our knowledge runs deep and our standards remain high.

Following the challenges of COVID, Richard made the decision to scale back the business to focus on what customers truly value—his personal expertise and hands-on approach. By streamlining operations and reducing overheads, we’re able to offer competitive pricing while enjoying a better work-life balance.
